Born in Mexico City, Omar Donates is synonymous with cocktails.
Presently, Omar is recognized as the “Liquid Chef”.
Omar entered into the world of mixology driven by his culinary creatity. He Experiments with Pre-Hispanic techniques that he implements in the kitchen, focusing on herbalism or ’alternative medicine’ to create a sensorial experience for all five senses in his dishes as well as his cocktails.
Diving into the culinary arts at age 19, Omar traveled to Italy to study at the stile Italiano Culinary School. His studies abroad allowed for him to see Mexican cuisine in a different perspective. While learning about the history of culinary arts in the world, he understood the importance of his heritage and experienced a deeper connections to his Mexican roots.
“Mexican Mixology” is an avant-garde concept that uses culinary bases to connect the world of mixology with that of gastronomy. With his personal touch, Omar is responsible for reviving and giving new life to the flavors, colors, and aromas of our beloved Mexico with the object of supporting local products and generating a genuinely Mexican experience for the consumer palate.
