MAYAKOBA INVITATIONAL PRO-AM 2017

Welcome to the Mayakoba Invitational Pro/Am 2017 by Andaz Mayakoba February 16th to February 19th, 2017. A unique opportunity to play side by side with internationally renowned players. Teams of three guests and one touring professional will compete in a 2-day exclusive golf event on Mayakoba’s El Camaleon Golf Club, the annual site of the only PGA TOUR stop in Mexico and beautifully designed 18-hole course by PGA TOUR legend, Greg Norman; with touring professionals from major worldwide tours such as PGA TOUR, Champions Tour, Web.com Tour, LPGA Tour, and Symetra Tour players including 1982 Masters Winner Craig Stadler, Troy Matteson, Mathias Gronberg, Emily Collins and more.

CRAIG STADLER

USA – CHAMPIONS TOUR

One of the most entertaining players on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour, Craig Stadler has accumulated 31 wins in his professional career with 13 of those coming on the PGA Tour. He earned the nickname “The Walrus” and was the 1982 Masters Champion. Craig also won the PGA Tour Money List in 1982.

TROY MATTESON

USA – PGA TOUR

This two time winner on the PGA Tour won two different events with the same sponsor, Fry’s.com, in 2006 and 2009. Troy has 48 top 25 finishes on the PGA Tour after winning the Web.com Tour money list in 2005.

MATHIAS GRÖNBERG

SWEDEN – EUROPEAN TOUR

The Swedish native is a four time winner on the European Tour with victories at the 2003 Italian Open, 2000 South African Open, 1998 European Open, and 1995 Cannon European Masters. Mathias also spent seven full years on the PGA Tour and his best finish being 3rd at the Valero Texas Open in 2007.

MEXICO – SYMETRA TOUR

Margarita has had four top ten finishes on the Symetra Tour and with her best finish being solo second at the 2015 Prairie Band Casino & Resort Charity Classic. She was the first Mexican player to earn status on the Ladies European PGA Tour in 2012.

EMILY COLLINS

USA – LPGA TOUR

Emily started her professional career in 2014 on the Symetra tour after a successful amateur career which was highlighted by winning the 2010 Kathy Whitworth Invitational and the 2012 Texas State Amateur. She will be a rookie on the LPGA Tour for the 2017 Season. Emily’s professional career includes wining the 2014 Illinois Women’s Open by nine shots and finishing runner up at the 2014 Texas Women’s Open.

Alex has spent his career playing many major tours around the world including PGA Tour Latinoamerica, PGA Tour Canada, and the Web.com Tour.

Format Two Best Ball (1 Net, 1 Gross): Teams of three amateurs and one touring professional will compete in a two best ball format. Each player on the team plays their own ball. The two lowest scores (1 net and 1 gross) at the conclusion of the hole counts as the team scores. The two scores cannot be from the same player. Each amatuer will receive 80% of their handicap.
