The OHL Classic’s return this week means that the world will get a glimpse of the Riviera Maya-Cancun region as the best golfers in the world visit the region for the PGA TOUR event at Mayakoba 9-12 of November, 2017.

PGA TOUR TV partners around the world will take Golf Channel’s Thursday through Sunday live telecast and broadcast it to over 226 countries and territories around the world.

Nationally, here in Mexico, Golf Channel Latin America will broadcast the tournament for 12 total hours live Thursday through Sunday. In addition, Golf Channel Latin America will have Diario Golf Monday through Wednesday to promote the event. On Thursday through Sunday, the network will be live from Mayakoba for Diario Golf Live.

ESPN Deportes will also cover the tournament via broadcasts of action and five 30-minute daily highlight program. Fox Sports will have its show “Agenda Fox Live” from Mayakoba on Friday from 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m.

PGA TOUR Radio on Sirius 208, XM 92 will broadcast live coverage of the OHL Classic Thursday through Sunday for a total of 22 hours. Nationally, Grupo Imagen Radio will broadcast its show “Palabra del Deporte” with Pablo Carillo three days live from the Mayakoba grounds.

Fox Sports will have its show “Agenda Fox Live” from Mayakoba on Friday from 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m.

World No.10 Rickie Fowler leads a group of ten players currently ranked among the top 50 in the world who will compete at El Camaleón on the beautiful grounds of Mayakoba. Among them are defending OHL Classic champion Pat Perez, who is No.18 in the world and will be seeking to become the first player in tournament history to successfully defend his title.

The past champions who will be returning to Mayakoba are Perez (2016), Graeme McDowell (2015), Hoffman (2014), Harris English (2013), John Huh (2012), Johnson Wagner (2011), Mark Wilson (2009) and Brian Gay (2008).

The 132-player field will also be complimented with some of Mexico’s finest players—Abraham Ancer, Roberto Diaz, Oscar Fraustro, Carlos Ortiz and Jose de Jesus Rodriguez.

Along with the world-class golf the OHL Classic at Mayakoba showcases each year, the tournament continues to build on its Golf PARa Todos, or “Golf FORE Everyone,” a series of instructional golf events which strives to create a fun-filled, diverse and educational program for families that teaches about the game of golf, its ideals and the premier professional golf tour in the world. The program is held several times each year and boasts an average attendance of 500 individuals per event. Since its inception, more than 20,000 people in total have participated in the program.

Mayakoba made history in 2007 when it was the site of the first official PGA TOUR event to ever be staged outside of the United States or Canada.
