The beautiful wedding expo was held at Mayakoba’s newest venue, El Pueblito – a colonial-inspired plaza in the heart of the resort that has quickly become a sought-after location for weddings and private events. More than 600 guests visited the different stands and suppliers and enjoyed an amazing fashion show, live music and shows. Guest had the chance to connect with 40+ wedding professionals, including a variety of suppliers, vendors, planners and industry experts to help them design the perfect day. The casual setting offered guests cocktails, food tastings, relaxing amenities and exclusive promotions.

The second edition of CASAR included workshops by Bernadette Smith and Alan Berg at the newest addition of the Mayakoba Family, Andaz Mayakoba.

Bernadette Smith

Bernadette Smith is founder and president of 14 Stories and the Gay Wedding Institute (GWI), and award-winning author of three books, including The Business of Gay Weddings: A Guide for Wedding Professionals14 Stories, the nation’s leading same-sex wedding planning company, has produced hundreds of gay and lesbian weddings with couples from around the world.  Through the GWI, Bernadette has trained thousands of wedding and hospitality professionals on sales and marketing best practices to same-sex couples.

Alan Berg

The Leading International Speaker and Expert on the Business of Weddings & Events. Alan Berg is a Certified Speaking Professional, Consultant and Marketing Guru. He defined his self as a Suburban Renaissance Man… a husband, father, son, friend, speaker, author, salesman, marketer, musician, handyman, consultant, teacher and a nice guy.
With over 25 years’ experience in sales, marketing and sales management, 20+ in wedding related marketing, Alan Berg is uniquely qualified to help businesses reach their potential. Alan spent 11 years at The Knot, a leading life stage media company, most of them as Vice President, overseeing the sales, education and training of the local sales team and local pros around the country.

The event culminated with the first Faux Wedding at Riviera Maya, a true display of the best wedding and events vendors in the area. The delicious dinner invited guests, including Chantal Torres and Miguel Torruco, to try the culinary options offered by Andaz Mayakoba, as well as dance the night away with a live DJ.
